How much does legal AI cost for a sole practitioner in the UK?
With Amara, a sole practitioner pays €49 for the first month and then €69 a month + VAT for one licence. That licence covers the legal AI, matters, documents and the CRM. There is a 30-day trial, no minimum term, and onboarding and initial set-up are provided at no cost.
The point of a single licence is that a sole practitioner can research, draft and manage cases and clients without paying for several separate tools. The copilot already knows the matter you are working on, Amara Work can prepare a complete piece of work from one instruction, and enquiries and clients sit on the same board as the matters they turn into.
How does the 30-day trial work?
You start the 30-day trial with your email and use Amara on your own work: open matters, upload documents, ask the copilot for an analysis or a draft and assign a task to Amara Work. There is no lock-in, so if Amara does not fit your practice you simply cancel.
LexCRM has its own offer: the first 3 months are free, after which it costs €9.99 a month + VAT. It suits firms that first want to put order into enquiries, clients and follow-up before bringing AI into their matters.
Which plan fits your firm?
| Your firm | Plan | What it adds |
|---|---|---|
| Sole practitioner | Amara Solo | Your own workspace, your cases and your library, with legal AI, matters, documents and the CRM |
| Firm with several lawyers and practice areas | Amara Teams | Shared cases, roles and priority support; each lawyer has their own account and the firm decides what is shared |
| Firm with several offices, large firm or network | Amara Multi-office | Centralised management by office, firm and team, a shared network library and support during implementation |
| Firm that only needs to organise enquiries and clients | LexCRM | The CRM on its own, with the first 3 months free |
The Amara Teams price is a reference for three lawyers. For multi-office firms and networks, we prepare a proposal on request.
Paying from the UK: euros and VAT
Amara is billed in euros by Neurogestión SL, the Madrid company that develops it. You pay by card and your bank converts the amount to pounds, so the final figure in sterling depends on your bank’s exchange rate. All prices on this page exclude VAT, which is added where applicable.
Amara Work and Amara Advanced are part of the plans, but the most demanding assignments may carry an additional cost. Founding firms in the UK will have their own launch terms.
