Amara founding firms in the UK
We are building the UK legal corpus. The first firms to join get early access, launch terms and a real say in how Amara is built for UK practice.
- Today: legal copilot, document review, drafting in English, matters, CRM and Amara Work.
- Coming soon: a UK legal corpus, starting with England and Wales, built from legislation.gov.uk and Find Case Law.
- Coming soon: Amara's result on UK professional exam questions, with the full methodology, and LexMarket, which opens country by country.
- Available in the UK today
- Data stored in the EU
- Never used for training
- The lawyer always decides
What is a founding firm? One of the first law firms in the UK to use Amara while we build the UK legal corpus. In return for your feedback on UK practice, you get early access, launch terms and a direct line to the team.
What you get
- Early access to the UK legal corpus as it becomes available.
- Launch terms reserved for founding firms.
- A direct line to the product team to shape features for UK practice.
- Onboarding support to set up your first matters and your firm’s knowledge library.
What we ask
- Use Amara on real work in your firm.
- Tell us what is missing for UK practice: sources, time limits, precedents and terminology.
- A short monthly call with the team, if you can.
Who should apply to be a founding firm?
Firms in England and Wales that want to use legal AI on real matters and are willing to tell us, from their own practice, what Amara still lacks. Size does not matter: Amara works for the sole practitioner, the firm with several lawyers and practice areas, the firm with several offices and networks of firms.
The UK corpus starts with England and Wales. Firms in Scotland or Northern Ireland can already use the rest of the platform; their law will be added later as separate jurisdictions, so it is never mixed into an English matter.
How does the programme work?
- Apply. Write to info@amaralegal.ai with your firm’s name, its size and its main practice areas, or call +34 691 691 060 (calls only).
- Onboarding. We help you set up your first matters and your firm’s knowledge library, with accounts and permissions for each lawyer.
- Real work. Your firm uses Amara on its own matters: the copilot, document review, drafting in English, Amara Work and the CRM.
- Feedback. You tell us what is missing for UK practice (sources, time limits, precedents and terminology), ideally in a short monthly call.
- Early access. As parts of the UK legal corpus become available, founding firms get them first and hear the launch date before anyone else.
What can a founding firm use today?
Everything that already works in the UK: the legal copilot inside each matter, document review, drafting of letters, pleadings and client updates in English, matter management, the CRM, Amara Work, and teams and permissions. The UK legal corpus is under construction and coming soon; the rest of the platform does not wait for it.
Until the corpus is ready, the lawyer checks every authority against the official source, as with any AI. Amara prepares and proposes; the lawyer reviews, signs and decides.
What the UK corpus will cover first
The first phase covers the areas where solicitors and law firms in England and Wales handle the most matters: civil procedure, contract and consumer law, employment, landlord and tenant, family, company and insolvency, data protection, immigration and criminal law. It is built in three layers (legislation, case law and assimilated law) from official sources such as legislation.gov.uk and Find Case Law, with the version in force on the date of the facts.
Founding firms help decide what matters in practice: which instruments, which time limits and which terminology a UK lawyer expects to find. How the UK corpus is being built.
Your firm’s data during the programme
Founding firms get the same data protection as any other firm: the database and files are stored in the EU (AWS Paris), encrypted and never used to train AI. The UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 apply; Amara acts as processor under a data processing agreement and the firm as controller. ISO/IEC 27001 certification is in progress. Security.
Questions about the founding firms programme
Do founding firms pay for Amara?
Founding firms have their own launch terms. Public prices are on the pricing page: Amara Solo, €49 the first month and then €69 a month + VAT per lawyer.
Is there a commitment to stay?
Amara has no lock-in: you can cancel at any time.
Do I have to attend the monthly call?
Only if you can. What we need most is that you use Amara on real work and tell us what is missing.
When will the UK corpus be available?
Coming soon. Founding firms get early access to the first parts and will hear the date before anyone else.
Can a sole practitioner be a founding firm?
Yes. Amara is designed for firms of any size, from the sole practitioner to networks of firms.
Does Amara replace the lawyer?
No. Amara researches, organises, analyses and prepares drafts; legal judgement, strategy, signature and responsibility remain with the lawyer.
